Comedian and author David Walliams parted ways with publishing house.

The author

Prolific young adult author and entertainer David Walliams has parted ways with his UK book publisher, as confirmed by the firm.

A spokesman for the firm stated: "Following a thorough review, and with the guidance of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing any new titles by David Walliams."

Reports indicate that the decision was reached following an inquiry regarding reports of conduct deemed unsuitable towards young women.

The firm did not confirm the specific rationale behind the move, adding: "We refrain from speaking about internal matters."

A Prolific Literary Career

Walliams ranks among Britain's most best-selling authors for kids, having sold in excess of 60 million copies worldwide in 55 languages.

The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins back in 2008.

Several of his works, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into television films.

His bibliography includes more than 40 books combined, encompassing a festive story named *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins last autumn.

A Dual Career

His career breakthrough occurred on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He received an OBE several years ago honoring his contributions to charity and the arts.

This development follows the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive this past October.
