Eulogies Flow for Rob and Michele Reiner as Medical Examiner's Findings Face a Security Hold.

More than two weeks after the tragic deaths of renowned filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, peers and loved ones are still paying respects to the pair.

A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Recalls His Director

Sharing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he just recently felt able to express about his deep grief.

"Sufficient time has passed that I can finally express my sorrow into words," posted Elwes, noting that his initial encounter with Reiner left him smitten. "Once we started spending more time together I knew this was someone I desired in my life."

The actor shared never-before-seen clips from the production, commenting that he cannot recall "a single day without mirth".

"The film is about love, loyalty and sacrifice. Principles that Rob held dear. That is part of the many reasons he was the ideal person to guide it," Elwes continued.

He additionally honored Michele Reiner, stating: "Claiming that they were a great team would be an understatement. My heart still hurts every time I recall you." He finished with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Remembers a Friend and Collaborator

In a separate piece, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese paid homage to Reiner, whom he initially encountered in the 1970s.

"Right away, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would command the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's acting part in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, portraying the father of the lead role.

"His improvisation skills with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked wonderfully with everyone, and he understood the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese added.

Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Withheld

This week, a Los Angeles superior court judge agreed to block the release of the Reiners' post-mortem findings, at the request from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A legal directive put a restriction on the cases to prohibit the public release of "any investigative information, evidence and photographs" pertaining to the ongoing investigation.

The Medical Examiner's office had previously confirmed their deaths were the result of murder, with a public database listing the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".

Aftermath and Reactions

Following the tragedy, public figures offered varying comments.

Ex-President Donald Trump commented on the matter, making provocative remarks that were met with immediate backlash by several public figures.

Podcaster Joe Rogan added his perspective to the those speaking out recently. Speaking on his show, Rogan labeled the remarks as "disappointing" and implied they revealed a troubling deficiency of sympathy.

Rogan concluded by suggesting that an aide should have acted when the choice to comment on the tragedy was made.
