Jet Transporting US Defense Secretary Forced to Touch Down in UK Due to Crack in Cockpit Window

A jet transporting Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was required to make an unscheduled landing in the UK on Wednesday after a crack was identified in the plane's windshield, as stated by an official statement which stated that all passengers were secure.

"The jet landed based on standard procedures and all individuals on the flight, such as Defense Secretary Hegseth, is unharmed," an official representative said in a social media post.

Hegseth was returning from a short visit to the city of Brussels at the time.

This incident isn't the first occasion that a US military aircraft transporting a top government figure has experienced technical problems.

In a previous incident this year, a United States Air Force aircraft ferrying Secretary of State Marco Rubio to the German city of Munich was compelled to return to the US capital after suffering a mechanical problem.
