Real Madrid brought in Trent Alexander-Arnold with a six-year deal

The defender's recovery is moving forward well, giving possibility that the Real Madrid defender could return soon enough to play against his previous club Liverpool in the upcoming Champions League encounter.

The 27-year-old player suffered a muscle injury during a match against Ligue 1 side Marseille in the initial phase of the competition on 16 September.

Alexander-Arnold exited the pitch in the early stages, with initial indications pointing to a possible absence of as long as a month and a half.

Real Madrid are scheduled to play at Liverpool on November 4 for the Champions League match—precisely seven weeks after the injury happened.

Reports familiar with the situation state that the player's comeback is progressing favorably, and there is expectation that Alexander-Arnold may make his first comeback to Anfield since joining Los Blancos in the summer.

A longtime Liverpool supporter, Alexander-Arnold earlier remarked that departing from the club he joined as a six-year-old academy talent was the "most difficult decision he's ever made."

During his time with the Reds, Alexander-Arnold notched over 350 games, helping win multiple Premier League titles, a Champions League, and the FA Cup.

Since joining to Madrid, Alexander-Arnold has appeared on five occasions in various tournaments, logging 156 minutes of playing time.
